While the number of suicides in Japan are decreasing as a whole, the increasing percentage of those suicides being committed by teenagers has become a serious social problem. Noko (Vo & Gt), also the band’s composer and lyricist, has expressed his own experiences with bullying and social withdrawal in the form of music. Within its 12 songs, this particular album tells the stories of a teenage suicide; of a young girl overwhelmed by and driven to desperation in the face of increasingly extreme day-to-day news; of a boy yearning but unable to become normal, and many others, all focused on expressing the depression and raw emotions felt by modern teenagers.
