SKYE was a late-1960s Japanese high school rock band consisting of Shigeru Suzuki, Ray Ohara, and Tatsuo Hayashi. The group disbanded before ever releasing an album, but its members would go on to join bands like Happy End, Sadistic Mika Band and Tin Pan Alley, which defined the sound of Japanese New Rock and New Music/City Pop throughout the 1970s. In 2019, more than 50 years later, SKYE regrouped with Masataka Matsutoya as a new member to finally produce their debut album.
