Oppressed employees unite! In-demand actor Ruco Chan (The Other Truth) and popular comedian Louis Yuen (Super Snoops) must overcome a slew of challenges in order to escape from the humdrum and hopelessness of office life in the TVB comedy drama No Good Either Way. Product designer Alex (Chan) and his best friend, marketing officer Steve (Yuen) have earned the appreciation of boss Sam (Stephen Au), but they see no future under their manipulative department manager Violet (Florence Kwok). Out of disappointment and frustration, Steve secretly establishes his own business with Indian pal Singh (Gill Mohinderpaul Singh), while Alex, with the help of his girlfriend Ling (Kristal Tin), wages war against Violet. But when Alex and Steve eventually make it up the career ladder and become someone else’s bosses, they too begin to turn into the people they fought against in the first place… Meanwhile, Alex’s impetuous younger sister Kin (Natalie Tong) unwittingly purchases a “haunted flat” in her hurry to be a homeowner, and she falls in love with Alex’s co-worker Aaron (Jason Chan) who looks to be decent enough but is actually anything but!
